Fascia is the body’s connective tissue. It is from head to toe, inside to out, all-encompassing and interwoven system of fibrous connective tissue found throughout the body. Your fascia provides a framework that helps support and protect individual muscle groups, organs, and the entire body as a unit.
Fascial Stretch Therapy takes place on a massage table, using stabilizing straps to isolate one side at a time and provide support. The use of traction, the practitioner’s’ body weight as leverage, and modified PNF (client-assisted stretching) to increase range of motion and flexibility by the end of a 60-minute full body session. It releases tension and breaks up the adhesion’s in the fascia, freeing up movement in the ligaments, tendons and muscles.
Fascial Stretch Therapy is gaining momentum as it has become an integral part of sports performance and recovery, as well as injury prevention, and has gained popularity with professional athletes around the world. Our Therapists have treated numerous professional athletes including members of our Orlando Magic, the Baltimore Orioles and professional boxers and MMA fighters.
